Can you stack mana to increase your attack on a card with 'fire breathing'?

For example, Bellows Lizard has the ability "Tap 1 and a red to give him +1/+0 Until end of turn". Can that be increased by tapping extra mana? For example, can I tap 3 and 3 red to give him +3/+0 until end of turn? Thanks a lot.

yes, you can.

Yes. Unless otherwise stated in the ability, you can activate an activated ability as many times as you can pay for it.

The ability itself is just "1R: ~ gets +1/+0 until end of turn." You can activate this ability as many times as you can pay for it, though. In this case, you activate the ability three separate times. Each activation puts a different instance of the ability onto the stack, and each instance resolves separately. Their cumulative effect is +3/+0 until EOT.

Technically, you can activate the ability multiple times and they will all stack with each other. Not really much difference usually, but worth noting.
