Can you play four copies of a companion WITHIN your deck?
Asked by jzt0 2 years ago
I play a blink deck (“brb,” sorry I don’t know how to link to it) casually and I was wondering…can I choose not to play Yorion as a Companion, but just as a four of in my deck? Within the rules text of the card, it says “IF you choose to play x as your companion…” Does this mean you must either choose to 1) play the card as your companion or 2) not play it at all? Or may the player choose to play it as a 1-4x in their deck? Thank you all for your input + assistance! PS - I play casually with my friends but we want to follow all the rules.
Thank you for your comprehensive response. I was hoping to see how Yorion works, and now I can!

You can link decks by putting the "slug" (basically the deck name in the URL) in double brackets with deck: or deck-large: like
And yes, you can include a playset Yorion in your deck without using it as a Companion, or even following the companion deck building restrictions. If you're not using it as companion, it's treated as a normal card in every way.
