can you kill an indestructible creature

i was wondering how you kill an indestructible creature, after all it is "indestructible"

The only ways, that I know of, to get rid of an indestructible creature is to 1. Exile it 2. Give it -/- to reduce its toughness to zero 3. Make it something else (ala Turn / Burn ) and destroy that.

Indestructible is an ability (now, although that wasn't always the case) that prevents destroy effects. Currently, the only destroy effects are lethal damage and effects that specifically use the word destroy (for example, Doom Blade ).

There are numerous ways to get rid of Indestructible creatures, although they are usually more complex/less effective than straight up destruction. Exile works, as do bounce effects. Reducing its toughness to 0 (which is different from dealing damage to it) also will kill an indestructible creature. Sacrifice effects are also useful. If you can remove the indestructible ability, then you can use destroy effects to get rid of it.
