Can you convoke Shalai, Voice of Plenty for Green?

I know her CMC is white, but she has a green ability.

No, you cannot. While she does have a Green activated ability (making her color identity Green/White for Commander and Brawl), the card itself is only a white card, because that's the only colored mana symbol in her mana cost. Similarly, Tasigur, the Golden Fang is a mono-Black card, despite having a Blue/Green activated ability.
