Attacking planeswalkers and Annihilator
Asked by 203995014 12 years ago
My friend says that Annihilator doesn't trigger when I attack his Planeswalker because according to him, planeswalkers aren't players.
I'm pretty sure that even though planeswalkers aren't players, when you attack them, Annihilator should trigger anyway.
Who's right?

Annihilator triggers whenever the creature attacks, just like it says in the reminder text of cards like Ulamog's Crusher and friends. When a creature attacks a planeswalker, the "defending player" is the controller of that planeswalker, so the planeswalker's controller will have to sacrifice permanents when the annihilator trigger resolves.
