if you pay 3 mana to play Astral Cornucopia how many charge counters will it have?

You declare a value for X (0, 1, 2, 3 etc) and then calculate the cost XXX

So for X=1 the cost is (1)(1)(1)= 3 manaAnd for X=2 the cost is (2)(2)(2) = 6 mana

And then it enters with X charge counters.

x being the number you picked, like x=1 so 1 charge counter right?

Any time you cast a spell with X in its cost, you declare the value for X -before- you calculate the cost of the spell.

So even though the cost is XXX, you still picked a single number for X.

if you picked '1' for X, then the cost is (1)(1)(1) and will have 1 charge counter, since 'X=1'
