I'm playing R/B.I have Executioner's Capsule in play and I play Shrapnel Blast .Do I get to trigger Executioner's Capsule without paying its tapped mana cost ? Do I get the effect of 5 damage to creature/player and destroy target nonblack creature for 3 mama ? Thank you.

No. You have to activate the capsule's ability if you want to destroy a nonblack creature with it. If you do this, it will be sacrificed before you can sacrifice it to shrapnel blast.

No, you can sacrifice the capsule as part of the cost for one ability, or the other. But you can't sacrifice it to pay for both, as you can't use one loonie to purchase two different $1 drinks.

First, Executioner's Capsule 's ability is NOT a triggered ability. It is an activated ability. It must manually be activated.

Second, "mana cost" refers to the symbols in the upper right corner of the card. Activated abilities have activation costs.
