Artifact creature with Intimidate

Asked by Emzed 13 years ago

A colorless artifact creature with Intimidate (e.g. due to Gruesome DeformityMTG Card: Gruesome Deformity) can only be blocked by artifact creatures, right?

Correct.

Since colorless is not a color, there are no creatures that can share a color with it. Thus, it can only be blocked by artifact creatures.

On that note, a creature that is not an artifact but is made colorless (via MoonlaceMTG Card: Moonlace for example) still cannot block a colorless creature with intimidate because colorless is not a color, therefore it does not share a color with it.

110.5g A token that has left the battlefield cant come back onto the battlefield. If such a token would return to the battlefield, it remains in its current zone instead. It ceases to exist the next time state-based actions are checked.

Eldrazi, although colorless, are not artifices, so can not block creatures with Fear or Intimidate (unless by some method you give them a color, or make them artifacts).

However, if you give an Eldrazi intimidate or fear, then you're laughing as they can only be blocked by artifacts.
