Are "land-creatures" still creatures once they are in the graveyard?

Asked by hafnera 9 years ago

There are many spells that make lands into creatures which still remain lands. For example, every spell with awakening. My question is what happens to these "land-creatures" once they leave the battlefield. Would they still be considered creatures in my graveyard? My hand?

They are creatures as long as they are permanents. Once they go to the graveyard, they're just cards. The cards will then only have the type land and will be considered only lands, with the exception of Dryad Arbor. Also, this should be in the Rules Q&A forum.

This should be in the Q&A section, not here, but to answer your question: they enter the graveyard as creatures (i.e. they "die"), but once there, they are considered just lands. And manlands aren't considered creatures while in your hand either.
