Angel's Feather vs Torpor Orb

Asked by ZaLiTHkA 13 years ago

Cards in question: card:Angel's Feather and Torpor Orb .

This may seem like a stupid question, but I just want to confirm something...

I assume Torpor Orb would only prevent a player from gaining life from Angel's Feather when playing white creatures, correct? In other words any other white spells (instant, sorcery, enchantment, etc) would still cause life gain?

yes you are correct any other spells played would cause life gain but not creatures whilst the Torpor Orb is in play

Actually, since card:Angel's Feather triggers on the casting of a creature, it would still trigger for any white spell.

Epochalyptik is right. A more a technical answer would be that when you are casting a creature you are still casting a spell. Nothing has entered the battlefield which then triggers angel's feather. Then the creature will enter the battlefield and any other affects that it may have tried to trigger will not, but the player still gets the life from angel's feather.
