Activated Abilities Question
Asked by gmac1993 9 years ago
I have a question about Activated abilities. Lets take Ghave, Guru of Spores for example. If I activate one of his abilities, and in response he is targeted with a kill spell, would I be able to activate:
the same ability in response, as many times as I want?
his other ability in response, as many times as I want?
Thanks
Of course, note that your opponents can respond to you activating those abilities as well, for example with another spell that destroys your creature.
Either way, all abilities exist independant of the permanent that created it, so they will resolve whether or not Ghave is still on the battlefield (if they still have legal targets).

Yes. You may activate an ability at any time you have priority (the exception being abilities that state that they may only be activated at certain times). In this case, you may reactive the ability or activate the other ability. The only requirement is that you're able to pay the cost. Note that the cost for the first ability is "
, Remove a +1/+1 counter from ~" and the cost for the second ability is "
, Sacrifice a creature."
