Hey,

I am new here, but I imported my inventory of cards from deckbox and i am hoping that there is a way for me to browse the decks that other people post here and compare the contents to the inventory of cards i have.

is there a way to do this? i want to see if i can make a deck on here with what i have without having to buy more cards, or by only buying a few.

thank you

Now there's a feature that would be interesting for the budget player. Would need all the search parameters of the original deck search, plus an additional search for either number of cards missing allowed or price of remaining pieces allowed.

So... You can click on the cards in your inventory, and it'll take you to a page that has decks with that card in it, but.... that's not very handy for what you want to do.

The feature you want does not exist. And it should. VL endorses this idea, yeaGO SO PAY ATTENTION!

that is disappointing, seems like it would be a no brainer feature for a site like this.

Not really. It's been suggested I think twice before in the past? Utilizing your inventory to find decks is a feature that no site uses to my knowledge and this is mainly a site to record your existing decks or future decks your are planning to build. The amount of users that use this site for netdecking is very minimal.

Mainly, netdecking is something you compare the top decks of the meta to your current collection using sites like mtgtop8. A deckbuilding site isn't really the place to do it as you aren't going to find the best lists that have been winning games.

With that being said, it is still a really interesting feature that would get used by the relatively large budget playerbase we have here on T/O. It would certainly help give this site's inventory base more credibility over other sites.

There are quiet a few other sites that do this. Shoeboxmtg, mtggoldfish, etc

It just seems like this site has far more casual and fun deck, where those sites use very competitive decks and top 64 finishing decks from tournaments.

Since this site allows you to buy all the cards in a deck, it should also be able to narrow down the cards you'll need to buy to make it happen based on your inventory. Just browsing forums and other pages regarding this will show that there is a very high demand for a well thought out feature such as this.

Other sites execute it poorly or have a low deck total to compare an inventory to. This site has that, it should be a feature, far before some of the other less meaningful enhancements I've seen in this sites release notes.

Hey i see you implemented my suggestion. very nice. It would be better if it had a Cards you have, and Cards you need section, or different colors to denote what is what. It is kind of a pain to swap back and forth between the whole deck and the cards you "need"

The check should easily identify all of the cards that you need to make the deck, noting what you have, and what you need.

just some feedback, thank you

This has been added to the site via the "Compare to Inventory" button. Let me know if you have any questions.
