Phantom Tiger preventing damage...

hy guys... im asking if Phantom Tiger blocks a creature with trample... lets say a 5/5 with trample... does the 3 dmg left go to the player? im new on this forum so if isnt this the right place to ask things like this please tell me where i have to go or give me the link :) thanks

and sorry for my english i speak spanish and its difficult for me this language :P

Yes, you would have the extra damage dealt to you. The trampled deals damage enough that would kill the blocker, and the rest of the damage would hit the player.

Yes, the fact that the damage would be prevented or wouldn't kill the creature is irrelevant when determining how much damage is done to the creature and how much is done to the player.
