How do I avoid alternate art when deckbuilding?

I just want to see the regular card art, I don't want a Strip Mine with moons on it, I don't want Infernal Grasp and Terminate to be Spider-Man.

Do I have to go to each, individual default card art I don't like, look up what the original set is, look up what the three-letter code, and manually type it in after the card?

The cards here default to the most recent print. On the deck editor page, towards the bottom, there's a drop down menu called Default Printings, with the options Newest, Oldest, Lowest Price, and Highest Price. If you want more control than that, then yeah, you'll need to use the set codes.

No need to look them up; to the left of the decklist text box you can type in the card name and there's a dropdown of printings with little thumbnails to choose between for the art. Then click the plus sign button and it puts it in.

For cards you use a lot, like lands, i would sugest making a "baseline-deck" where you set the art you want and ust copy and edit the decklist in the future and if another art you want to use drops you can ust change it there for future use. Personally I use this for both manabase and ramp for all my edh decks, ust dont include superspecific stuff you will end up cutting from all decks anyay.
