Has anyone played Endless Legend? It's kinda like the civ games i guess. Never played any of those types of games but this one looks kinda interesting. If anyone has played it / has any experience with the 4x types of games, and would be willing to give me an explanation on how they work, i'd appreciate it.

kyuuri117 I've played Endless Legend. I really don't know what sort of explanation you're looking for though. If you want a 4x game play civ. Endless Legend is okay. It's a little too complex for my liking. Unlike Civ it isn't friendly to new players and really it didn't grab my attention enough to want me to invest more time into it.

kyuuri117, Endless Legend isn't really done as well as Civ. Some parts are better, but there is a lot that is missive. Look through the negative reviews of the game to find answers.
If it is your first one, I think Endless Legend might be okay to start out with. Be aware that most likely there won't be a sequel to it, so you won't be getting a similar game anytime soon. Whereas Civ will get sequels for years to come.

Also, by the same developers:
Go check out Dungeon the Endless.
It is by far one of THE BEST rogue-like games out there. Like, the mastery of putting 4 different genres into one and make it all flow is superb.
