So, I'm planning to go to my first FNM with my deck sooner or later, but the problem is that I don't know what the modern meta at my destination consists of.

Any info about any store near Boston/Winchester MA would be Great! :D

Either go to the store and find out, or prepare for an unknown meta.

You would have to either go to the store, or prepare for a meta of the typical top decks. Expect to see Pod, Splinter Twin, Burn, etc. Someone will most likely be playing infect, there will probably be a UWR Control player. All that stuff.

Living close to you, I've seen somewhat a trend on combo decks. At least around Salem NH area. I'm not sure if this trend is specific to these few shops but i'd bet yes.

Out of curiosity, what deck are you going to play?

(Please say scapeshift. I get giddy when people play it, though I have no idea why... I don't even like the deck....)

Scapeshift is hella fun. You all should play it. Your decks are stupid.

Seriously though, expect that one guy who plays UWR and that one guy who plays Infect, but I suggest for the first event you build a versatile sideboard that can deal with as many matchups as possible, with a focus on the tier decks.

I actually haven't heard of anyone playing jund among the players...I'd guys the rich is there though. In any case if anyone ends up playing at the modern events around this area I'd be interested in knowing the basic meta so i can approximate the meta here

Just bring affinity and kill everyone T3-4. Or infect, that's pretty effective (and cheap) too. Then you don't have to worry about the meta this time around.

Well prepare to lose game 2 and three off you're not worried about the meta using those decks..
