Treetop Village vs. Raging Ravine

So i've built a RUG aggro deck that's focused on abusing Abbot of Keral Keep and Young Pyromancer with cheap spells such as Thought Scour, Visions, Bolt, etc., while making sure Goyf gets huge very quickly, and having Snapcaster as awesome support.

Anyway, I want to get rid of some of the shock lands i'm running as 9 is clearly too much. I want to put in 2-3 man lands, and I'm not sure which ones I want.

Village runs through tokens and small creatures, where as Ravine continuously gets bigger, and gets out of bolt range in one attack. Plus, as I'm running Rancor, I can keep putting it on the Ravine every turn.

I guess it's a meta call but i'm curious as to what is generally considered better.

I think you would generally choose the ravine if you have the mana available as it both gives you the two color options, and will continuously become a bigger and bigger beater each time it swings.

I have found that I personally only swing with my treetop (mono green deck) when it is my only creature on a clear field, or it is to ensure I get a finishing blow through. The trample on a 3/3 is less than ideal in most cases I have encountered.

2 Treetops, 1 Ravine?

Given you're an aggro-deck running Ravines over Treetop is probably wrong. It depends on how good your mana fixing is, but I would suggest running 3 Treetop. Ravine is usually a very good grind-land however your deck doesn't seem to be too keen on grinding long. It's so powerful in Jund because of what normal games of magic with Jund come down to is: both players topdecking and no creature/threat on board. That's when Ravine wins.

I like treetop more in certain matchups like, Tron when you have to be the aggro deck and need to close out the game quickly. I'd suggest, try running 3 treetop, see how it works out with your mana and maybe go 2/1 if it doesn't work out.
