THS Block Constructed

So I played an event tonight on MTGO... ended up facing what seemed like the exact same R/G deck 4 times in a row. I figured I would see mono-black and maybe some Heroic decks (I was using a Boros Heroic deck) but instead I only saw Gruul Monsters. It was not a very fun event, very boring to play in. Is that how THS Block Constructed is sitting at the moment? One deck above all?

Well Gruul appears to be the top deck by far for MTGO Theros Block Constructed at the moment. You can look at current Deck Stats here.

Umm... you can't judge a block constructed by the first set. If Sarkhan, the Dragon Sculptor comes out, then the format may change dramatically. Let's say this was his ability:
1RRR: 4
+1: Deal 1 Damage to target Creature or Player
0: You get an emblem with: Creatures you control have +1/+0 and R +1/+0 until EOT
-X: Put X dragons from your hand onto the battlefield under your control
-4: Exile all other non-dragon, non land permanents.
Yes, this is kinda absurd, and it reminds me of something but my point is, anything could come out, and could warp the format. This would probably make Stormbreath Dragon
and red devotion see HEAPS of play, so we just don't know what could/will happen.

Block Constructed is currently a format though, using cards from Theros.

I got 4 mono blacks the other day, it just seems to rotate through a few "power" decks throughout the week based on the latest SCG Tour/Pro Tour/Grand Prix winner.
