Missed Final Fantasy pre release due to date screw up

I outright had a spot for the Final Fantasy pre release early on but then I thought this weekend was the pre re lease when in reality it was launch and obviously that frustrated me to no end, we drafted the set however and I was in not a good mood that it messed with my gameplay tempo.

Has stuff like this happen to people before?

...closest scenario I've experienced was going to the shop to play "format x" and show up to the store and it being some sort of draft event instead.

I'm sorry it didn't go as you wanted that totally sucks... the last prerelease I went to was the most recent eldraine set and it was honestly the most fun I had at the LGS in quite some time so for you to be ready for it like that for it not to happen just feels bad sry to hear it.
