I was just at the gas station down the street and they had Theros, M14 and Dragon's Maze booster packs.
What other places have you seen cards for sale at?

One of the local gamestops sold cards forever ago, and the local Dollar Tree sells little 8 card packs for a dollar. But thats about it.

The internet. But as a more serious answer, probably the shoe counter at JCPenney's. Just sitting there, waiting for somebody to buy them at, like, $2 a pack. But that was years ago, before I played Magic.

During the holiday season a ShopKo had them for $3.29 a pack. I definitely bought too many of those.

No there aren't rares in them (or if there are I haven't hit any). But there are a variety of things in them, in one pack I've gotten things from M14 and like Homelands, kinda cool actually. But it sucks there aren't rares.

The gamestops near me dont sell them, but they sell the boxes (like, half a dozen packs in a big box sort of thing) online, which is kinda funny.

There's this tiny little newsstand near my apartment that sells candy, cigarettes, and magazines. One day, I was passing by and saw Yu-gi-oh! and Pokemon products in the window. I popped in and discovered AVR for $5 a pop.

Sadly, not about Magic cards, but it ties into it. So when I was in Germany over the summer I went to a sweet medival town, Rotenburg (I think? God my memory sucks). They had a wickedly cool shop that sold swords, daggers, and really cool snowglobes with dragons in them. They also had some Beyblade card packs beside the register, and I thought to myself, "WTF? How can I find Beyblade cards I didn't know existed but no Magic cards?!"
I was in Europe for 2 weeks traveling through 7 different countries and I couldn't find a single pack of Magic cards. And I wasn't the only one on the trip that was looking!

Craigslist.
On a more serious note, Flea Markets. I go to random flea markets just to buy useless trinkets and random goofy shit for the house (seriously, where in the absolute fuck can you find a golden frog statue in the buddha pose for 10 dollars). One day I was walking around and this dude has a bunch of comic books in a booth. My kids are yelling for churros and my wife is telling me she wants to find something fun for the house. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a binder next to some hulk comic. I knew what kind of binder it was when I glanced so I broke away from my family and went right in. Dude had not updated his prices in like 10 years! So naturally, I bought ALL 9 of his Beta Sinkhole
s at 2 bucks each and a wasteland for 10 bucks. This was about three months ago.
Since then, somebody must have tipped him off, because suddenly his binder grew to 6 binders and he has all of them priced at what they are for the week... I still go there and snoop around in his collection though.

One time I saw packs in a Cici's Pizza restaurant "claw" game. I put 2.50 in that machine and then gave up after losing a bunch of times. I figured at that point I would just go an buy a pack for what I was about to spend.

I like the "claw" game but yeah after a few tries you'd have to give up.

There is a comic book/ junk store in my town and they go through and open up the intro decks, remove the boosters and sell the sealed decks for $15. That place is a joke.

Target has a bunch of intro decks for M14 in the dollar section. I bought the shit out of them!!! I didnt even want the decks, just the packs. I was proud of myself for that day. My wife was pissed too. I came home with milk and magic cards, and she was like, "seriously??? I can't send you anywhere without buying cards!!! Did you at least save some for me to open?" Then we had intro deck pack wars.

my dad took me to a "Tug Boat Festival"...yes, there is such a thing, and there was a street vendor selling singles. They were totally unorganized and in crappy condition so I didn't look for more than a minute
