The game didn't play like the card game. For those who didn't play it/know it, I'll try to give an explanation.

You had to construct a spellbook containing 10 different spells, using either one color or two (the problem with two colors is you couldn't generate mana fast enough unless you played green to use Untamed Wilds ).

Players fought in an arena. A line divided the players, and if either crossed into the other's area, they'd start losing life. Each player was limited to 2 enchantment spots (those weird pedistals on the side) and a 5 creature limit. At the start of the game, a mana orb spawned for each player (the silver looking orb thing on the right). These gave you mana (seen below the life totals), and more keep spawning at different times. Your mana slowly regenerates all the time, thought mashing a button (Y for the Xbox) would help speed up that process.
All creatures, when summoned, head directly towards the other player. Everything essentially has haste (creatures that actually have haste move faster). The player can defend himself against creatures using other creatures (obviously) that will block oncoming creatures. Flying creatures (like the vampire if you can see it), float above the battleground. Creatures with trample will continually fight through other creatures until it reaches the player or loses all it's toughness (the yellow bars seen below the creatures). The original toughness doesn't return when a creature respawns. Respawning is simply the creature returning to the spot where it was originally summoned, then continuing again at the other player. When a creature dies, it drops mana shards which help refill your mana pool.
The player himself has 2 skills for also dealing with creatures:
- The first is a regular attack. The player can swing his weapon at an enemy creature (or your own if you need some mana shards). This attack only does 1 damage.
- The second is a shield. This will cut in half all damage the player receives from a creature. The longer the shield is held, the more mana it uses.

This one? I currently own it. Yes, the game was pretty wonky.
