Hey everyone, I found some sleeves at my local walmart that have Kiora, the Crashing Wave on them...
This is my review upon opening them...
They are slick, but unlike the ultraPro matte sleeves by the same company... they DO NOT SLIDE AROUND THAT MUCH... they also feel to be more rugged and thicker than the ones you get with the black, red, or blue top loading deckboxes... I am well pleased...
They have several designs with BoTG characters, and seem to be worth the $8.98 for them (SO FAR...It could turn out later that they are not really worth the $9 after all....)
I would rate them 4/5 based on design, feel, and ease of shuffling (which is GREAT, they slip past one another without losing control or being to loose!) The only thing I did not like is the price, but if they turn out to be amazing, I will rerate 5/5.
If anyone else has used them, did I miss anything, and what are your thoughts on them?
BTW the image below in what they look like...

My walmart only had the Kiora and Xenagos (God-form) ones to choose from...

In my experience, this type of sleeve is really kind of terrible. I won the same sleeves, Elspeth art, on Theros Prerelease, and after 1 FNM, the art started to tear off of all of the sleeves. The corners began to split, and they just didn't hold up like ultra pro mattes or dragonshields do.
On the topic of sleeves though, I would like to know if anyone could give me a positive or negative on the SCG creature collection sleeves? The ones with the adorable critters on them. I heard that they were made by legion, and I don't have any experience with Legion sleeves. Should those be something that I pick up?

I havent even heard of legion sleeves... so i guess i am no help there... It is unfortunate that the sleeves I am talking about didn't hold up for you.... I wonder how my set will do...

In my experience with legion sleeves they split pretty easily. If you are ultra careful when sleeving a deck and/or shuffling they can hold up okay but I would personally rate them 2/5. I still stick with dragon shields. I have a 60 card deck sleeved in black DS and they were from the original ravnica block standard deck I ran

I run with legion sleeves. One of my Edh decks I play regularly for the last six months or so and the sleeves still hold up. As far as the ultra pro sleeves with art go, they're utter garbage.

Yeah, I just mass-buy dragonshield blacks at the moment, so I can just interchange cards between decks. I might try out some legion sleeves just so I know how they do.
And if you're good with the kiora sleeves, they should hold up for a while, just be super careful with them and try to avoid mash-shuffling when possible.

well, normally I seperate my deck into 5 piles, then just randomly pick them up... after that to randomize it more I turkish shuffle.... i dont riffle or mash...

Sweet, but I stopped buying anything other than Dragon Shield or KMC years ago because anything less is a waste of money.
