Mirran Crusader and Inquisitors flail

I'm just curious about this.
Because Mirran Crusader already has double strike, would card:Inquisitor's Flail give him double damage double strike? so he's 2/2. Attached he would swing for a total of 8 damage? or even more? I don't understand how this would all go together.

Mirran Crusader 's double strike means he deals damage twice, once for first strike and once again for regular combat damage. Each time the amount of damage he deals is doubled, meaning that he will deal twice his current power each time. If there are no other modifiers to his power, he will deal 4 damage each hit, for 8 total.

so double strike makes crusader deal combat damage twice. This means that "whenever equipped creature would deal combat damage" effects would trigger once for first strike damage and again in normal combat damage, making a 2/2 crusader deal 4 damage twice.
