I don't know if I am understanding this correctly

Are they seriously reprinting all 10 shock lands for Dragon's Maze? That's freaking insane.

maybe I dont know for sure but I think that you are more likely to see the guild gates and have them play a larger role for dragons maze but from what I understand it is definitely possible

All ten shocklands, in one set....that's gonna be crazy.

yep all 10 in one set, although all shocks are half as likely to be pulled than in their own specific sets. I wonder if they will increase the amount of rares in the set to squeeze in the lands or if they will just take up slots? which would be ashame in a way. Good news is that it shows they are really trying to push tri colour and beyond. Us EDH players still holding out for 3 and 4 colour generals! :-)

They're not exactly reprinting them, as they won't have the Dragon's Maze expansion symbol. But you're understanding the basic concept correctly. What's interesting is this sentence from the announcement: "You are about half as likely to open a shockland in Dragon's Maze as in Return to Ravnica and Gatecrash and, since this is for all ten shocklands rather than five, that means you are about a quarter as likely to open a specific one."

The likelihood of getting any shockland in either Return to Ravnica or Gatecrash was about 5/68 (7.35%). That means the probability of getting a shockland in Dragon's Maze is half of that, or 5/136 (3.675%). What this means is that in a single 36-pack box of Dragon's Maze, you will find an average of 1.32 shocklands.

What this amounts to is a not very significant rate of shocklands since they are unable to take the slot of a Dragon's Maze rare. This isn't as big a deal as most people think. The more interesting thing was the mention of a Mythic Rare land, something that hasn't been seen since Eye of Ugin .

Not reprinted, but the RtR and GTC shocklands will be obtainable from Dragon's Maze boosters.

All ten guildgates will be showing up (with the Dragon's Maze expansion symbol), as will all ten shocklands from Return to Ravnica and Gatecrash (with their Return to Ravnica or Gatecrash symbols)

The way it's worded, I would guess that the usual slot for basic land will now be a guild gate, with a chance of it being a 'Shock-Land', and a rare chance of it being a New Mythic-Rare Land.

If that's the case, it won't take the place of the pack's regular rare, and there's still a chance of a foil rare...

This means a small chance of up to 3 rares (or even Mythic-Rare) in a single pack. This is not unlike the Innistrad and Dark Ascension packs that had a rare, ad 'Transform' card that could be rare, and a possibility of a foil rare.

I could be wrong... but the line "There's also a mythic rare land from Dragon's Maze that will show up there sometimes!", seems to say that all of these lands will show up in the usual basic land slot.

Now I'm no learned individual, especially when it comes to reading, but the way I just read it was. The Basic land slot we all know and love/hate is now going to be occupied with either a gate land card, a shock land card, or possibly another non-basic land card.

If that's the case...My friends, My enemies, fellow lovers of this game, we are in for one hell of a treat!

That's how it sounds to me... and even if it's not right... drafting with these will mean mana-fixing (gates) in every pack. Even with horrible packs, you will at least have that going for you.

Rayenous, but when we are drafting Dragon's Maze we will only have 1 pack of it and 1 pack each of Gatecrash and RTR.
