If i have a creature with lifelink or deathtouch and i make it fight another creature with pitfight then does lifelink and deathtouch trigger?

I know deathtouch will because it's any damage. I believe lifelink is the same.

They don't "trigger," but they do affect the way damage is dealt. Any amount of damage dealt by a creature with deathtouch is lethal, and any amount of damage dealt by a creature with lifelink causes its controller to gain that much life. These qualities are not solely applicable to combat damage; they apply to all damage dealt by the creature.

@scottdawg77 correct. First Strike and Double Strike specifically affect combat damage; on the other hand, lifelink and deathtouch affect all damage dealt by the creature.

This seems to be a popular question as of late.

Creatures deal damage to each other when they fight each other. Therefore, any abilities that trigger on damage will trigger during fighting, and any abilities that affect damage will affect fight damage. However, since fighting is not combat, abilities that only affect combat damage will not affect fight damage.

Questions like this are most appropriately asked in the Q&A.

What if say a Prodigal Sorcerer has deathtouch, will using his ability to do a single damage to a creature then also work with deathtouch? Even if the creature has a toughness greater than1?

Yes. prodigal sorcerer would kill things. with deathtouch

The way Fight works is almost like a 2 way burnspell. but the damage is being dealt by the creatures themselves. not you.

@Jmeefreq: The rules for deathtouch state that any amount of damage dealt to a creature by a source with deathtouch is considered lethal.
