Dryad Arbor is the original memnite amirite?

No, not at all, you can only play one dryad arbor each turn, and you can tap it for mana. It's got a llanowar elf ability, it's colored, and its not an artifact! I could say more.

and you cant even tap it i think due to the summoning sickness clause on it

It does have summoning sickness so it can't be tapped the turn it comes into play, which is why you use a fetch land like Misty Rainforest to summon it at the end of your opponents turn.

It's not a forest, so you can't do that.
