How do people create their own custom tokens? I really have some ideas I'd like to make but have no clue where to start.
Is magic set editor a program I buy or download or what? Thanks for the answer

Download for free, google search it and you'll find it.

I use alcohol to wipe the ink off extra magic cards. The tip cards in booster packs are good choices, since they're otherwise worthless. I usually collect them from everyone during booster drafts.
Once you've wiped the ink off of the tip cards, you can just draw on the card with sharpie.

There is a guy who makes and sells 3d cards, my tokens I use are 3d. They are actually really cool and different.

I have a few frame templates I reverse-engineered from scans of tokens that I use to make new ones in Photoshop. I actually resized the frame to be 1/3 the size of an actual card (three side-by-side are the size of a standard Magic card) so I could print a bunch and keep them in a card sleeve in my deckbox. It was mostly by necessity. My angel deck was churning out too many angels in casual play to track them all with glass stones, and I didn't like (or own) any good angel tokens at the time.

@Kogarashi: I have the same problem where if it doesn't look like a token (such as when people use dice, coins, or stones), I have a hard time remembering what's what.

There is a way to make a proxy using a foil magic card.
I want to take the image of the token I want to make and imprint them on a mtg card with a proper back.
i hate having to sleeve up tokens just so I dont see that stupid advertisement back.

Many people use Magic Set Editor to design tokens using image files found on their computer. Otherwise, people just do their own art directly on the token card.
