Confusion about Kira, Great Glass-Spinner's Effect

Two questions, actually.

First, would the effect of Kira, Great Glass-Spinner counter your own enchantments and abilities, or only your opponents?

Second, because of Kira, Great Glass-Spinner 's effect, if your creature is attacked and no other spells have been countered by it this turn, does the attack get canceled, or the attacker's abilities? (i would've thought the creature would be countered because creatures count as spells).

Because Kira, Great Glass-Spinner 's ability doesn't specify that it only counters opponents' spells or abilities, it can and will counter spells and abilities controlled by any player.

I'm not sure what the second question is even asking. You don't attack creatures in Magic; you can only attack players or planeswalkers. Second, the process of declaring an attacker has nothing to do with casting or activating anything. Third, an object is only a spell while it is on the stack. Once it resolves, it becomes a permanent (in the case of permanent cards) or goes to its owner's graveyard (in the case of instants and sorceries).

Also, questions like these are best asked in the Q&A.

okay, I wasn't sure where to put it. also, with the second question, I was asking if a creature attacked, sorry about the phrasing. I think that you answered my questions though. Thank you.

I think I know what the second ability is asking. You are asking "If Kira, Great Glass-Spinner blocks a creature with an ability that might affect it, would Kira's ability stop the attack/ability?"

The answer is: No, the combat would not be cancelled, and as for the ability, it would need to specifically target. Deathtouch, for example, does not target, so does not get countered by Kira's ability. Somberwald Vigilante doesn't target either, so Kira wouldn't prevent that either. If your opponent used something like the second ability of Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter in a head-to-head combat, Kira would stop the first activation of the ability.

Most of the time, combat would barely be the place Kira's ability would activate. All you need to know is that his ability NEVER removes him from combat.
