Boon Satyr - 1GG
Enchantment Creature - Satyr
Flash
Bestow 3GG
Enchanted creature gets +4/+2
4/2
Looks pretty good. Surprise blocker early, and turns a chump block into a trade plus a creature for you late game.
It definitely looks like one of the better bestow creatures, I'd say.

I'm still not the biggest fan of bestow, but with the two devotion to green this guy gives as well as flash, In the right deck I actually think he's worth it.

I think Flash saves Boon Satyr from being a bad bestow. He might see standard play as a 4/2 with flash, but I doubt he gets Bestowed enough.

The bestow -could- be relevant, from time to time. 3 mana for a Flash 4/2 isn't half bad either.

Flash-Bestow onto your blocking, hexproof Sylvan Caryatid you've been using to block to unexpectedly kill a creature OR just to save it. People are gonna combat-trick on blocking Caryatid constantly since it is hexproof. Later, if forced to sac a creature, choose the Caryatid and keep the Boon!
I'll be leaning on it as a utility to save my blocking Caryatid or to flash in unexpectedly to save Prophet of Kruphix from Lightning/Mizziums! but as others have said it's a sweet 3drop on its own if you're smart about when/how you cast him

Good, not broken but very good. Sort of an Ambush Viper with surprise permanent Bloodrush.

Im liking how Devoted to Green is looking in my head.
Boon Satyr and Arbor Colossus are great answers to a lot of current problems green faces.
Also how long before "Here comes the Boon" gets dropped on the daily?

So just to be clear: you can cast this guy for the bestow cost at instant speed? Flash isn't a mechanic that only applies if he's cast as a creature? I'm 92.1% sure the answer is yes, but I want to be sure.
And if you kill the target before the bestow resolves he still lands as a creature...

Apoptosis Yes, I do believe you can bestow him at instant speed. However, he wouldn't land as a creature in that situation. Heres how I understand the situation:
1.attackers are declared
2.blockers are declared
3.lets say theres a 3/3 blocking your 2/2, you flash in the Boon Satyr for its bestow enchanting your 2/2 making it a 6/4.
4.That was the last thing on the stack so it resolves first, then combat damage would happen thus killing your opponents 3/3
5.the Boon Satyr stays on your 2/2 as an enchantment because it was allowed to resolve as such.
I hope I got that right.

mcm93 that's what I think, my second part was if there was a response from the opponent.
To use your example:
1.attackers are declared
2.blockers are declared
3.lets say theres a 3/3 blocking your 2/2, you flash in the Boon Satyr for its bestow enchanting your 2/2 making it a 6/4.
- in response, your opponent casts the new Searing Spear (lighting strike? something like that) to kill your 2/2. Since the target of Boon Satyr is invalid, he lands as a creature. Now if you flash him at the end of the declare attackers but before declare blockers you could still block with him if the original target was removed in response.
Anyway, he's tough, an improved bloodrush option and serving as a flash blocker when needed or to drop a guy at your opponents EOT I like him.

Apoptosis I don't believe so. You'd cast him as an enchantment then and if your creature dies prior to him resolving as an enchantment, he'd be treated as an enchantment in that scenario and end up in the yard.
Regardless, I do agree, I like him a lot and I plan to make a home for him in at least one of my decks.

That is incorrect. If you check out Wizard's Theros FAQ they mention that bestow functions slightly differently in that regard. I quoted it in another forum post some while back.

@Dritz Oh interesting, thanks for pointing me to that!

I like it a lot, personally. I feel like its going to see at least moderate Standard play.
