Adding pictures for my deck description

General forum

So I saw the function to add pictures for forum posts and deck descriptions. When I try to add it in my deck description, nothing shows up. I did some googling around and saw a few forum posts, but nothing seemed to work. I also saw some people mentioning it being a paid feature, though I couldn't find any confirmation of that.

As for what I actually did, I simply hit the add pictures button, and inserted a link. For the picture, I copied the image address of a card from gatherer. Of course I also messed around with it, but to no avail.

My question is what am I doing wrong? Is this a paid feature?

I usually just do < img src="https://......" >

(No spaces between the less than/greater than symbols) < >

That doesn't seem to work for me. here's what I typed:

<img src="https://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=262671&type=card">

Also Tried

![If you see this, it didnt work...](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=262671&type=card "Geist")

also wont let me link the image, so maybe there's something wrong with how I got it? Figured gatherer would be fine tho

[This is the address for the image I am using by the way](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=262671&type=card)

Hmmm yea Wizards tries to avoid people stealing their intellectual property and makes it hard to pull images from their website.

Right click on the image, and see if you can open it in a new tab. The URL should end in "jpg", "bmp", "png", "gif" ....

My first post above, this is the URL:

Tried the new link for both methods and the preview showed a blank box. I'm really not sure what the problem could be.

![does it work?](https://southernweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Anatomy-of-Image-Alt-Tags.png "trying with the different link")

If at least one worked, then it would be at the top of this post. It's interesting because the formatting also is supposed to show a message in the pictures place if it doesn't work.

Maybe it's a paid or rank thing? I wouldn't know because that's a facet of this site that I think exists, but I really wouldn't know anything about it.
