How come the foil version is only worth a buck more than the regular version? Was it that common? Because usually i would be at least 35$

Because it's more common? I'm not sure, sometimes with certain expensive-ish cards the difference between regular and foil isn't that much.

Also, the original printing has a 12 dollar price jump, so it might also be people prefer the Ravnica one to the MMA printing.

I could be completely wrong with what I'm about to say, but here's my thought:

Doubling Season is used exclusively in EDH, only in some green decks. It's also a huge Timmy card. The competitive EDH players that run green in their decks will be few and far between, especially ones that run this card, and they'll be the ones that want to foil out their decks. Basically, it doesn't seem like there's the demand for a foil one.

Hold on, where were you getting prices from? Using TCG, the MM printing is a $6 difference and the RAV printing is a $12.

I think the foil he's talking about here is The judge's foil.

Prices are current as of the timestamp on the comment from TCG Player and this is the lowest listed price for the condition + shipping.

Lightly Played.

Judge's foil: 22.99

Ravnica (non-foil): 21.50 (foil) 30.50

MM (non-foil): 20.99 (foil) 24.93

Near Mint

Judge's Foil: 25.98

Ravnica (non-foil): 24.24 (foil) 38.74

MM (non-foil): 20.99 (foil) 24.99

Basically OP is confusing Judge's foil with the non-foils of the different printings.

To answer OP, is that the judge's foils are currently easily attained and until last year (even though it was the last year of this) it was handed out to judges for work at GP's and large events as part of the compensation package. I know my friend got one in September. And they've been around as judge's foil for years. But as stated it's demand is for EDH and that's not helping it move that fast.

The judges's foil has the MMA art, so that drives both down a bit.
