Equipment Tokens
Custom Cards forum

A cycle of Equipment token creating sorceries I came up with. Flavour-wise, I was thinking of well-manned but poorly supplied force making use of whatever was available to equip their troops, like a popular rebellion or some-such. Normal custom card question apply, I suppose; do you think they're balanced, is there a better way of wording them, do the colours match the effects, does the mechanic communicate the flavour well?

I think it's a cool idea, but they can produce way too many equipment with the conditions you set. They don't all have to give +1/+0, they could give keywords instead. The bone club could give intimidate (using your ally's bones as a weapon strikes fear into the hearts of your enemies), the white could give first strike, the green could give reach, the blue could give "when equipped creature deals combat damage to an opponent, you may draw a card. if you do, discard a card", and the red could give haste. If you want to go with the power boost, they should have an equip cost that isn't zero.

I'd be pretty reluctant to have them each produce a different token just because it makes it so much harder to keep track of the board state if there are multiple kinds of Equipment tokens. Especially since they're being created in fairly large numbers and they'll often be moving around as they get equipped to different creatures. I'd much rather just up the equip cost of the tokens to 1.

That's pretty much irrelevant, it follows the same logic creature tokens do. They print tokens so they actually have physical representation for them so board states are easier to keep track of. If you named the tokens individually, they wouldn't be as hard to keep track of. I'd look at the Stoneforged Blade made by Nahiri, the Lithomancer for design if you haven't already, it's basically the same thing you're doing.

I like them but feel they are way OP so they should ether cost 1 to equip like Bone Saw or add "sacrafice this artifact when it becomes un-equipped"

And the black one should be "power + toughness" or "power or toughnes" depending on how OP you want oi to be

I think the ability of the blue one is a bit out of the color pie, maybe if it was like "put X tokens into the battlefield where X is the amount of cards in your hand" or maybe something to do with instants and sorceries or whatnot. I'm not sure. At any rate, I think the "artifacts in graveyards" works better for red, which has much more artifact hate than blue.

I just realized these could be really overpowered with Atogs.

Your flavor text is actually quite good. I like the effects. They seem to fit the colors. I'm not sure if they are balanced.
But I'm no expert, so you can only take the things I say with a grain of salt.
