Does Braids, Conjurer Adept draw much hate?

I've been thinking about building a monoblue group hug deck with Braids, Conjurer Adept as commander for a while, but I've just learned that Braids often draws quite a bit of hate.
So, do people really hate out Blue Braids a lot because she can lead to overpowered, crazy games? And if so, should I change my general to Kami of the Crescent Moon, or would I be safe with simply using stuff like whispersilk cloak to protect Braids and Witchbane Orb and Propaganda to protect myself?
Whenever I've played against Braids I've usually tried to kill her off unless I'm the first person to benefit from her ability... then I kill her off.

@mstancea- thanks, I'll take a look at it! I'm glad to hear that you've had good luck with braids, it gives me hope... I'll definitely add some ways to protect her to my deck. Also, you can check out my deck if you haven't already, and let me know if you have any suggestions for it. Budget Blue Braids
@Demarge- Well, that's not good news. It is nice to hear different opinions, though. What about Kami of the Crescent Moon?

With any sort of group hug abilities I usually let it stay unless I think it'll benefit another player more than it would benefit me, if my hand is already overly full and everyone else emptied theirs I'd probably kill it.

When someone plays Braids, Conjurer Adept
during the EDH games I take place in the general consensus is every other player will use her, then just before you get the chance everyone will try to kill it because we know that a Braids deck is built to capitalize on it more than ours.
One of the best things you can do is flash her in at the end step so that if you don't get to use her ability no one does.

I also play Braids: The Price Is Right.
In fact, I would say the opposite is true. Almost everyone I've encountered has reacted to my casting her with joy and happiness! In any case, I do protect her, because the best way to destroy my deck is to get rid of her before I can use her...
Take a look at my deck, and get a feel for what cards I use to protect her. If you can, I'm still looking for help finalizing the last few cards, and any advice is much appreciated.
