I tell people to 'Hang on' a lot while playing Magic or just in general conversation, multiple times in quick succession: "Hang on, hang on, hang on, wait, hang on... what?"

If someone is trying to tell me what to do, it's either "Don't tell me what to do" or "OK Dad!"

I have quite a few others and over the course of getting to know me a few months, you'll find that my responses to common things largely stay the same.

@ DERPLINGSUPREME:

It is a late fourth-century adage in Classical Latin from the Roman author known as Vegetius. It is from his work De Re Militari, or "On Military Matters." The phrase translates into this:

"If you wish for peace, then prepare for war."

It is a very well-known phrase, famously used by various historical figures throughout early modern history. It is elegant and in my opinion it often qualifies as good advice. It informs real world strategy, as well as that used at the EDH table.
