Blast Zone is out because it's pretty clunky. Green deals with artifacts and enchantments really well already and most of the creatures I'd want to hit with Blast Zone have a high cmc. It's also an easy target for an opposing Strip Mine when I go to add the counters.
Fabled Passage comes in because this does everything I want in this deck.
Shamanic Revelation is out for Return of the Wildspeaker. Revelation has a higher potential ceiling, but it's floor is much lower. Return of the Wildspeaker will draw me a consistent 5 every time. Also, the fact that Return is an instant and can also be used as a combat trick more than makes up for the life gain that Revelation offers.
