"So, if I get that ring back I get your staff? Then I'm off to do it"
"Not so fast, adventurer. I told you my best men have tried and failed, I cannot send an amateur to those lands. First you'll have to battle my left-hand, Odric, Master Tactician. If you defeat him in battle you'll have my authorization to go find the ring."
"I shall, then confront Odric and rise victorious to look for the ring"
"Amateur?! Authorization?! You don't know who you're talking to. Prepare to swallow your words. I'm ready to fight."
