As this deck has evolved over time, I have leaned away from a defense/crackback model, waiting for opponents to trigger my deck didn't suit my playstyle as much. I have kept monarch mechanics in the deck, as the courts are just solid cards overall. Now, however, the deck plays into haymaker plays with Jund's approach to playing off opponent's library or graveyards, this has made for wild games & contributed to the longevity of the deck. Certainly, other Jund commanders may do it better, but The Brown Spider will ever remain to helm the deck.
