FNM Results! —Oct. 2, 2015

On Friday, I took this deck to FNM for the second time. It was a good night, going 3-0, only losing to Affinity. Well, let's jump in:

Round 1 -- Slivers

2-1

First off, gross. I lost the first game, although I might have conceded early. He had out Megantic Sliver and I forgot I had a blocker. I didn't think I was going to survive another attack, so I went ahead and conceded. He played an early sliver that granted poison 1 to all others, so I sided in Melira so that wouldn't kill me, and also Dismember to take care of a flying sliver. I won the next two games with relative ease.

Round 2 -- Affinity

0-2

Last time I played this fellow, I managed to go 2-1. This time, I mulliganed to five both games. Since I don't have my Nature's Claims yet, Robots is always a tough matchup.

Round 3 -- Mono-Green Stompy

2-1

My memory is fuzzy, so I'm not sure if he goyf'd me to death once, but I could be wrong. I know goyf made his appearance, but I'm not sure he got me. Anyways, it was pretty smooth sailing until he started wiping my Inkmoths off the board with land destruction. But the last game I managed to get a good pump in for the win.

Round 4 -- Mono-Green Infect

2-1

The pilot is one of my best friends, whom I inspired to make Infect. Another convert to the Phyrexian cause. Game one was pretty easy. Sided out mutagenic growths and some probes for wild defiances, dismember, and skites. Lost game two when he flooded me. Game three was either a T3 or T4 kill. Double groundswell with two exalted triggers for the GG. Brutal. Beautiful.
