THE PRIMER IS OUT! —April 27, 2017

After a year since I promised to put up an explanation for each card I run, I have finally put together a Competitive Momir Vig EDH Primer! You can find the link here on MTG Salvation. For now, I will answer questions both here and on Tappedout, and post changes on both sites, but I would appreciate it if you could ask there to get the ball rolling on thread activity!

Really like this deck! Unfortunly my meta decided to play after dual edh rulings so havent access to fadt manarocks and cradle anymore .

Since your list dont run any 1mana dorks, i dont believe they can make the switch for the mana rocks... well must be signet and the other cheaper ones then. it'snot easy to find fast alternatives, so i'm thankfull for ideas :)

You already included amonkhet: thx for your review if new nussa and vizir. I was a bit disappointet since the lab. Maniac video but i think they are an great inclusion and i really like throne of the god-pharao! I run it with squirrelquraft as alternative wincon.

Thank you HeroesAreDead! I'm glad you like it.

It's sad to hear your group adopted the Duel EDH banlist, as it is definitely not designed for the multiplayer format of regular EDH. I would recommend replacing all of the fast mana rocks with things like Bloom Tender, Birds of Paradise, and other efficient mana dorks, or run a small Elfball package with cards like Priest of Titania.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the LabMan review of Amonkhet. They were pretty biased and not very fair of their review, and I think they seriously undervalued plenty of the cards in the set. Vizier and Nissa are great additions, and I will be testing with other cards in the coming time.

Let me know if you have any questions about the deck!

thx for answer :Di will try some elball combination i had left from my simic ezuri deck (before i switched to momir vig). since the duel edh meta is kind of slow maybe even ezuri+sage of hour can work (will test it)

i was wondering: since u already get infinit mana and run thrasios, have you tried laboratory maniac or walking ballista as an option for alternative win?

just in case that shaman of forgotten ways is unable to be played/completly removed and u cant get him back in any way.

Sup dude! I've been tweaking my vig combo list again. I found a way to combo out with protean hulk in simic so I'm trying to incorporate that into my list, although it unfortunately has a lot of dead pieces outside the combo. I'll let you know when I'm finished and I test it out :)

So last time we spoke, we were talking about commit // memory. I realized that I had originally misread the top part (didnt' realize it could bounce a creature too), but I still think it's too expensive, although it's a very powerful effect. Have you gotten a chance to test it out at all? I'm curious to hear your experiences with it. Props to you for testing it out instead of just blowing it off like some other people we've talked about ;)

Quick question! With Protean Hulk being unbanned as of yesterday, would you consider adding him anywhere in the deck?
