- Argentvale is an underground city inhabited by the last remnants of humans. Lead by Azeth, they research the mysteries of the machines, while developing tactics, strategies, and their own machines to beat them. Card draw and value, baby!
- The Revolution. The dwarves and many humans have combined forces to combat the machines, lead by Jadmere Goldshaper. Equipment and Vehicles are their favorite cards, with fast attackers and lifegain.
- Destruction and chaos, mainly of artifacts. Nature has a deep hatred for machines, and this is brought to the forefront in the Grove of Flame, the main refuge of the more chaotic side of nature.
- Wizards and the arcane, classic Izzet. Based in the province of Thundervale on the plane, the wizards have created a near-impregnable shield around their kingdom to keep out the machines.
- Led by a mysterious entity known only as Singularity, the machines have infested and eradicated much of the plane. An odd corruption seems to be creeping into the world as well.
