In: Mistveil Plains, Great Hall of the Citadel, Volcanic Island (Brian Snoddy painted proxy!), Rona Herald of the Invasion, Samwise Gamgee, Saruman of Many Colors, and Jegentha is now our Companion!
Mistveil Plains replaces the basic Plains.
Other lands are straight swaps. I've come down on the pathways a bit (though I still like them!). Pumped for the Brian Snoddy proxy.
Rona is more card draw/selection, with a killer backside.
Samwise is a two color legend with some minor graveyard recursion (which we're losing with Season's Past and Teshar). Teshar doesn't have a huge number of targets - there was a time when this deck had a bunch of 2 and 3 mana gold legends to pump Sisay, but I realize now there's more equipment that does that.
Saruman is a way to get card advantage and is annoying to get rid of (while being a 3 color legend to pump Sisay). Also we have a ton of ramp so I should be able to cast a 6 drop decently.
Poison the Cup, Season's Past, and Terminus were cut to allow us to play Jegentha. I think I have a lot of graveyard recursion already, and I'm sad to lose the removal, but
I think the deck has a ton of ramp (mana rocks, mana dorks, and ramp spells), but we could use more card draw. Rona gives us a bit of that, Saruman gives us some random card advantage, though I need to see how often we are casting two spells a turn (vs activating Sisay). Also putting Rivendell on the maybeboard for scry potential.
