A Promised End —Aug. 8, 2016

THANK YOU!

This update is going to be short and bittersweet, totally different then my usual updates. It's with sadness that I've decided to take a break from playing this deck until Kaladesh. No more updates or deck changes will happen at this time. I'm selling away all the expensive cards that are rotating this Fall. I will however still be updating deck:budget-rite-elves. The budget version will still give me my Elvish fix, but at half or less the cost. At my budget deck feel free to continue playing Elves along with me for the last two months until rotation. All things eventually come to an end and if Kaladesh doesn't have any Elves I'm officially done with Rite Elves. If the green side of Kaladesh does in fact have a lot of Elves then I will most likely be back trying to make them competitive beginning a new Elven year.

I want to thank everyone who has upvoted and commented in the year that this deck has been on TappedOut. We reached 254 upvotes, 300 comments and 67,600+ views which all is amazing. I will definitely take on a new deck challenge, if not Elves, than another archetype once Kaladesh reveals what it has in store for the future of Standard.

I'm a very devoted player of the GB Sacrifice deck, and I have to point out that we Rites decks now need at least 3-4 Clip Wings in our sideboard. It deals with Early Quellers, Avacyns, and Emrakuls. I would also advice anyone in the Emrakul matchup to sideboard in only this disruption spell, so as to basically nullify the efficacy of the extra turn.
