I would be lying if I said this was a Top 8 deck, but it looks like a ton of fun. I'm assuming you're trying to stay away from copies as much as possible. Still, it may be necessary to add 4's of some ramp (Llanowar Elves, Farseek) so you can get to Zegana, Ascension, etc. Otherwise, you'll just be playing a random batch of creatures and probably be dead before the fun starts.

Actually, for your ramp, maybe something that could also search for your Reliquary Tower?

Hey, thanks for the comment. It's certainly not meant to be a super-competative deck. I've only just put it together this week, so it's kind of in an embryonic stage at the moment and I need to playtest it a bit to see how much the slow pace matters.

I'm new to commander, but in this format you can't have multiple copies of anything other than basic land. To some extent I assume this slows the pace of the first few turns a little.

Oh you're right I forgot about that. Still, with all the cards available in Commander, you should be able to get some solid ramp in green with single copies...

-Llanowar Elves-Birds of Paradise-Fertile Ground-Devoted Druid-Fyndhorn Elder-Awakening Zone-Dawn's Reflection-Elvish Harbinger-Drum Hunter (works well with big creatures & adds card to hand)-Food Chain

to name a few.

Cool, cheers.I'm trying to keep as close in to the weird, evolving creatures theme as possible, but your definitely right, I need to look at sorting the mana base.

I particularly like food chain, never seen that before!
