Love your deck so far! I'm also looking to foray into Modern with 8-Rack. Strange choice to use Victim of the night, considering Vendetta would work much better, and after all, this is modern, no one's playing anything more than a 4-Drop. Duress should make an appearance here too. If you haven't purchased the cards yet, keep in mind that older versions of The Rack go for wayyyy cheaper yet still retain legality thanks to reprints.

That's the thing. There's plenty of ways to circumvent that; Command Beacon is a good example. You could also recur her from your graveyard after countering her. Yes, there are black counterspells. You could also use effects that prevent her ETB trigger from happening or just negating it. E.G., Torpor Orb, using Sundial of the Infinite to remove her trigger from the stack, or just using cards that straight up stop you from losing the game like Platinum Angel or Lich's Mastery. The payoff for all this work though is a one hit-kill to literally anyone without any lengthy Equips and Auras.

This deck is scarily similar to my own. +1 Nonetheless!

TheMadRocketeer If we'd do that it would only be black cards! :o
As for the list, you have some very interesting taste! You seem to enjoy detail a whole lot.

I feel like the foil copies are inflating the price of your deck by wayyyy too much. You really need to consider rebuilding your manabase too. Like, Greed is a nice card, don't get me wrong, but are you really paying 30$ for a Dollar rare...? I get the appeal of deck pimping, but when it hurts your deckbuilding, you really need to reconsider.

I'm actually brewing something similar, except it relies more on casting my opponent's spells from their hand rather than recursion. The catch to my commander being better than Sen Triplets however, is being tournament unfriendly. Of course, I'm referring to the deviously odd X. I'd love to give you some input as long as you give me some of your own, building abduction is a pain considering how much of a niche it is.

At first I though "Wait... are you seriously running Gates in a 300$ deck??" and then I saw Maze's End. Cards printed with "You win the game" on it are just something special to me.

Well, while I don't think Counterspells are necessarily fun, for the sake of balance, a different sort of restriction should happen. Maybe something like a maximum of one played per turn? If that were the case, players that play lots of cards each turn won't get bogged down by control, whilst Control can still do something at all. Also... including Masters sets is a bit of a problem if they're unregulated, because it opens the door to a whooole lot more bad stuff. Remember, Channel and Fireball got reprinted in Iconic Masters, and Diabolic Tutor was printed in Duel Deck Anthology (Also legal by your rules). Soo... in your format, Channel + Fireball is legal, which isn't a good sign. However, banning supplementals as a whole is not the solution. I don't have anything to suggest, but Supplementals are very important if there's a 6-Year cycle.

Also; I feel like this should be called Superfriends 2: Reloaded

although I do realize this is a joke, I think Jodah, Archmage Eternal would fit in here better, along with the obligatory Crystal Quarry that has to be played with him. Have fun wrecking those BEEBLAY-HATING BLASPHEMERS!

The UwU in the description alone merits the deck a +1

Johnny, the deck. No further comment.

So, in essence, playing Jeska (Phage, I'm a lore nerd) out while Endless Whispers is in play and Removing it is a fancy way to pay 7 Mana to Kill your Opponent and garner a Commander tax? Sounds pretty eh. I do think that Lich's Mastery would synergize well with Palace Siege, might try to make that work. I appreciate the help with the interactions!!

Alright, so, when Phage the Untouchable would get removed while Endless Whispers is in play, it automatically kills the player who is the target of the Endless Whispers trigger. But after that...? Since the player loses the game, all the permanents in play under their control return to their owners, but would that trigger Phage's ETB trigger again? Or would it in essence cast her with no downside to me and kill an opponent in the process? On a related note someone explain the broken mess of a card Lich's Mastery is?? There's seemingly no downside and the card is already frustratingly confusing.
