Mr. Poopie Pants we meet again.
Seeing as how you hate descriptions so much I'll make an assumption here :P
Feels aggroy, tokeny, and lifegainy. Not sure if I'm really understanding the strengths of this deck though since there's so much going on.
October 17, 2017 4:27 p.m.
If you're going to put in Hope Tender - I suggest Gift of Paradise since you can get an extra mana of any color out of it AND you gain life.
October 17, 2017 3:53 p.m.
Wolfrage76 That's what I like to here. Atta' boy soldier
October 17, 2017 3:49 p.m.
Really hoping the "I just see the twins" reference and the ponder cover art are subliminal boob jokes
October 17, 2017 3:33 p.m.
TheRealAdam I'm going to counter on the energy suggestion. I can't help but think Harnessed Lightning and Attune with Aether will take up valuable spots in the deck that he could be using to trigger Nest of Scarabs & Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, spider, etc.
If control is to be added to deck I feel like it needs to be in the form of -1 / -1 counters, otherwise you're just missing out on a TON of synergy opportunities.
I think dropping in a few dual lands would be enough to cover a white splash. And since he has the lifegain spider, he can still go Ifnir Deadlands because the self-ping won't be as harmful. Just my two cents. I think the croc is worth considering though.
October 17, 2017 2:09 p.m.
oh wait, I didn't realize it was a raid trigger. Thought it was just a bonus effect. Nvm, definitely better without. Can't think of any ways to make this better off the top of my head - definitely hardcore control.
October 17, 2017 12:15 p.m.
I like it.
Only suggestions is someway to include Heartless Pillage since the tokens could speed up your casting of second sun or a fat ass torment while doing their dirty work of discarding two poor saps from your opponents hand.
October 17, 2017 11:55 a.m.
Perun Feel free to splash white but of course it comes with weaknesses to add a fourth color. That you should be awarre of before doing it.... specifically keeping Ifnir Deadlands and Grasping Dunes is almost, if not, impossible becuase you need to split your mana base up so much you don't have room to produce colorless.
And no pressure to change it, I think your deck is good as is. Just wanted to add some thoughts to stir up the pot a bit as it helps me think through situations too.
October 16, 2017 3:57 p.m.
Venifirous I appreciate the thought out response :)
I didn't really understand Key to the City but imaginging swinging in with ammit with a fervor on it sounds so bitchin. Who knows if its 100% the best, but its got times it will shine.
I started out with consuming fervor in my deck as well. Just couldn't generate enough tokens from it fast enough from having it, and I rarely find myself swinging in at ALL until I've generated a good amount of tokens (roughly turn 6) so I couldn't justify keeping it.
I'm actually thinking about a way to slip in Anointer Priest, another Anointed Procession, and one or two other harcore token supporters so we'll see how it turns out! The balanace will be delicate though.

Looks like a well thought-out deck.
I have a few questions for you though, since I've constructed something similar.
Has Soul-Scar Mage actually been working for you? It looks like it only has synergy with 5 other cards and it looks like a very questionable payoff, especially if they only have one or two creatures.
Have you found that your mana base consistently procudes what it should? With four colors I found it nearly impossible to go Ifnir Deadlands due to getting mana screwed on the wrong colors.
Has Key to the City been working for you? With so much focus on token generation I feel like its a big gamble to put this in here with such low chances that you'll both get scorp god and keep him out. Feels out of place in general.
Do you think you're missing some card draw do get you out of a really shitty hand or top decking situation? Outside of scorp god its nonexistant here and with a late / midrange deck that's pretty rough.
Has Consuming Fervor been worth it? I feel like this is a low-impact card to have here unless you're going hardcore aggro, which doesn't seem to be the case with this deck.
Lastly, here's what I put together with more focus on token generation than anything else. Four Color Token Engine
October 16, 2017 1:21 p.m.
Not bad, but needs more cowbell.
I decided to splash white so I could go 100% in on the token generation part of this deck and drop in some card draw as well so I could get the combo faster. You can see what I put together here: Four Color Token Engine
Several thoughts besides the token part - I always thought Decimator Beetle was just sooo slow and clunky. Also, Die Young is complete poopy here cuz its not counters it temporary & you also don't have energy.
Also, if you're going to run 4 hapatra's mark and 3 shred weakness, you 100% need Ammit Eternal because their synergies with him is bonkers.
October 16, 2017 1 p.m.
probably get better help if you toss this deck in modern category
October 16, 2017 12:55 p.m.
Looks really solid. But 4 hapatras seems like a little overkill since he's legendary. And if you're going 4 obelisk spiders you might consider spells that put -1 / -1 counters on opponent dudes that can trigger that more often, but you don't absolutely have to since you already got an okay amount of ways to put out those counters.
October 14, 2017 12:47 p.m.
I went 100% all in on the token generation aspect of this same deck. I really like magmaroth, lethal sting, and hapatras mark but it dilutes the deck, especially yehennis expertise.
Both versions have weaknesses but I built this to generate tokens like nobodies business, and to do that you need card draw of some kind to find your combo. And its oriented on getting that combo off hard.
Check out my version and let me know what you think Four Color Token Engine
October 14, 2017 12:37 p.m.
Seems pretty cool! I have a modern Hydra deck cuz they're freaking sweet so seeing it in standard makes me happy. I like the architect of the untamed and hour of promise combo, although it feels kinda hard to get off.
Of course, hydras are kinda slow as they should be... Just wish there was a way to speed them up somehow. Maybe servant of the conduit rather than longtusk cub? But not sure if you'd have the energy for that since aether hub was taken out.
Either way, seems like a great skeleton that could still do with a little more playtesting / tweaking. Looking good!
October 14, 2017 12:25 p.m.
Settle the wreckage is probably the most brutal to deal with but I'm obviously not going to attack with everything vs a blue white approach deck with that card as a possibility to play.
October 14, 2017 11:58 a.m.
Yeah that's what the mostly is there for. I mean, we can pump out new tokens every turn so I'm not horribly worried about it especially if I sideboard in supernatural stamina to just cause more ETB effects immediately after the wipe. That's more of a side note to mention that I've thought about the possibility.
October 14, 2017 11:55 a.m.
Hmmm.... that does seem like it would work.
Now I only question dynavolt, but I can't really make a judgment on it since I feel like I'd need to actually play the deck to know if its a good choice. Too hard to make a face judgement on that one.
October 13, 2017 4:25 p.m.
Like the idea of ramping for a big X, but I feel like copying torment is equally if not more effective because you can copy your other spells as well... thus making all the slots you're using to ramp actually useful.
The deck I'm referencing is below:https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/784750#paper

LOL that title too good.
I like this deck but am super on fence about primal amulet mostly because its tranformed form doesnt help any of your counterspells since copying a counter is usually useless. It also doesn't help Approach of the Second Sun expect in reducing its CMC. I feel like 4 mana to reduce the CMC by 1 of approach isn't enough to make it worth it.
Replacing with settle the wreckage would prolly help.
