Octoclock, bitterblossom and contamination does exactly that for pretty much the rest of the table. I control when I want contamination to leave the field and generally the deck doesnt use much red mana so I feel like it is very powerful. Generally it gives me a good 2-3 turn advantage over the rest of the table and even without bitterblossom out, sometimes that free sac outlet for dockside extortionist is really amazing, especially to use your chainer trigger on.

Hey, take a look at my chainer deck for a bit of inspiration if you like. It runs both Yawgmoth and k'rrik in the 99 and does some wild shenanigans quite often. I'll hit ya with a +1 by the way. Hope my list can help.

I run the fetches for deck thinning. I only run the ones that fetch swamps other than mire because of such a small amount of red in the deck. I found cards like scalding tarn and other red fetches were a waste of a slot completely and were better off as basics like you said. However, just have a few black fetches does help considerably with deck thinning allowing me to get to my powerhouse cards faster and more efficiently. Thanks for the plus 1 by the way! :)
