I'm actually loving the Krenko idea. Maybe add more goblin makers in general and have a gobo subtheme? New krenko from WAR would be pretty good too I think. I'll totally get Hanweir Garrison in, but the other two I'll have to test. I'm overall thinking the curve needs to be lower in this deck. My early turns have been full of nothing really, so maybe 5 and 6 mana cards shouldn't be the first things to put in.

Planeswalkers would be cool. Xeangos seems like good ramp and Nissa seems like a good anthem if everything goes awry and I need to focus on the token game plan.

Hey you two!

I've revamped the deck a little bit. Traded for some cards such as Xenagos, God of Revels to Smash Face, and added in more repeatable CREATURE token makers in Legion Warboss and Goblin Rabblemaster .

I've also increased the budget in the land base with a shock and more dual typed lands, as well as more creatures that get mana that can be sac-ed later.

I'm looking for more cards to add, I'm just trying to find cards that are, well creatures, that do things enchantments like Awakening Zone does. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the input of Rhythm, it was really a tossup so I think you’re advice on it is gonna have me keep it in there.

I also love how so many decks can be made around the same commander, but comepletely different! It brings a breath of fresh air when I see someone with the same commander built in a different list, I’ll be sure to look into yours when I get time.

Also, I just realized I have some elf tribal ramp cards such as Priest of Titania , Marwyn, the Nurturer , Elvish Archdruid , etc.. With the new mana dorks I'm adding in, would this package improve it?

Anger is a really good idea, sacing it to Thromok sounds like a blast and a half! I didn't realize Fauna Shaman had gotten so cheap! Totally ordering that ASAP.

You're very right about the mana dorks//mana fetchers over other forms of ramp, I didn't think of it at all that way. The bodies seem priceless.

I love the idea of more token makers that cost nothing, especially the ones that can ramp with Eldrazi Scions and such.

SO now comes to cuts. Mana dorks over most instant and sorcery styles of ramp seems like the play here, but should I keep some of it? Cards like Cultivate and Skyshroud Claim seem so good in any green deck.

I also have a quick question that goes along with the previous statement: Is Genesis Wave worth it with the amount of instants and sorceries I run? Mana dorks would make it a hell of a lot better right?

Ya know, you're right. Probably adding the commander is a smart idea. It's just the only card of the deck I don't currently HAVE so I must've forgot it. My bad!

So do you think cutting cards such as Young Pyromancer is good? I do still have a good amount of ramp instants and sorceries if I plan on cutting out the non permanent ways of making tokens.

I've been scouring EDHrec and it may sound silly and a little selfish, but I like more explanations of cards rather than just suggestions on what to play. It just helps me decide if I see cases for cards.

I made this deck alongside some people at my LGS. They thought it'd be enough since I'm in green, and have a good ramp package. Maybe I should go in between what you and they say and go to 35?

So I've been toying around with a Thromok deck and this is what I've put together with what I own.

THRO MOK [[Gruul Tokens]]

Some things I'd like some help on:

  • The Creature to Sorcery/Instant Ratio: So my ratio is about half and half and with that I feel like I can't lean totally into cards like Young Pyromancer or Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip in the respective card type preferences. Should I just go one or the other? Or should I take out the more... "narrow" cards that focus on card type for more cards that make tokens regardless?
  • Rhythm of the Wilds: This is a token deck. This doesn't work on tokens. Seems like it'd just be bad right? Well with all the creatures I run, plus haste on Thromok the Insatiable is neat, is it worth it? I guess this goes into some of the points I made in my first problem.
  • How needed is artifact ramp in green?: I have an artifact deck otherwise, and I run most of my staple mana rocks in there. I could always proxy, but I personally don't like playing with cards I don't own unless I'm testing out a commander in an upcoming set (looking at you Feather!) This is aiming for 50%-75%, so would rocks be more necessary? I run some, but I'm wondering if cutting some more land ramp with more artifact ramp could make the deck more explosive and overall stronger.

These are the main problems I've run into, but any other suggestions such as lowering the average cmc and such is also welcome.
