I think your deck is in a pretty good place pre rotation. The biggest weakness I see (and this is true of most aggro decks) is that you don't have many ways of gaining card advantage. You can go 1 for 1 easily but once you've run out of gas you've either won or are in a bad spot.

Sorry for some reason hyperlinks aren't working for me anymore on tappedout. This is the decklist I was talking about in the first part: https://decks.tcgplayer.com/magic/standard/masatyyn/w-b-knights/1327705

I've been seeing this knight's decklist being kicked around and it seems pretty solid. I think Paladin of Atonement with the pain lands Shefet Dunes and Ifnir Deadlands is pretty potent. The knight lords help boost him and it can be enough life gain to put you over the top of aggro and red. Paladin of Atonement can keep building up into a bigger threat if they don't remove it and when they finally do you get value. So that's something to consider in your own list.
I do like how you included Shalai, Voice of Plenty over the other decklist. I'm not sure if it should be mainboard or sideboard, but either way it's a strong 4 drop that combos well with Dauntless Bodyguard like you mentioned.
If you have trouble with control you could include Kambal, Consul of Allocation in the sideboard. It works pretty well for me. I take out Knight of Malice or Knight of Grace for it depending on the color of the opponent's deck. They bleed out everytime they cast a spell. It's pretty helpful against certain aggro decks too (like wizards and red).

I played U/W Auras for awhile as well and had fun with it. However the meta slowly shifted to a lot of creature hate and board wipes and it kinda killed it for me. The new sets did bring some nice additions to it though. I'd consider Shalai, Voice of Plenty as a 3 or 4 of to protect against spot removal and Settle the Wreckage. Dauntless Bodyguard is a really good addition too. From Personal experience I'd consider running more Adorned Pouncer or embalm creatures as well.
The inherent problem with auras is that 1 removal spell can give the other player multiple card advantage as they hit the creature and any aura spells you had on it. For that reason I think it's good to run creatures that protect your enchanted stuff or at least creatures that can force them to 2 for one and use up 2 removal spells (like embalmed adorned pouncer for example).

In control match ups we can drop 10 cards (-2 Ravenous Chupacabra, -2 Lyra Dawnbringer, -2 Cast Down, -4 Fatal Push and put in +4 Ixalan's Binding, +4 Duress, +2 Arguel's Blood Fast Flip. I'm not sure if Arguel's Blood Fast Flip or Sorcerous Spyglass naming planeswalkers or The Scarab God would be better in the sideboard vs control.
Against aggro and midrange, we don't want to change too much. We can probably drop -3 The Eldest Reborn as it's flexible in game 1 but a bit too slow for most aggro decks. In turn we can go +1 lyra dawnbringer for life gain and a tough to beat 5 drop. ALso +2 Fumigate as a contingency plan if our board falls too far behind for some reason.

I've been trying to come up with a similar deck that can make use of Kamahl's Druidic Vow, Urza's Ruinous Blast,Mox Amber, and/or Growing Rites of Itlimoc Flip. I wonder if any could make it into your list but so far my attempts have been a bit "clunky" and I haven't found that right mix of cards that generates enough consistency for me to be satisfied. I still think there is a lot of potential in the combination of those cards with legendaries/planeswalkers. Anyways you could consider Urza's Ruinous Blast in the sideboard at least, to help agaisnt decks that try to race you.

I wonder if 3 Unclaimed Territory might suit your deck better than the 3 Evolving Wilds. You can name knight or angel and hit all your creatures. It won't come in tapped and should help solve any mana issues being able to cast Benalish Marshal on turn 3.
I'm curious how well the Kitesail Freebooter and Josu Vess, Lich Knight are performing for you. I'm a big fan of freebooter but with so much cheap removal it usually doesn't make a big enough impact for me. Some combination of Doomfall and Vraska's Contempt might work for you in those slots mainboard. Doomfall is flexible and can stay in against control or creature match ups. Plus you don't have to worry about them getting the card back.
Personally I like Lyra Dawnbringer over Angel of Sanctions mainboard as it's a gg card against red and a lot of aggro decks. Then I would sideboard Angel of Sanctions or Ixalan's Binding in for lyra against control. Like you said though either angel has it's merits mainboard.
