Hello all and welcome back to The Mad Shaman's Brewery!

This is a wondrous place full of cool things, dumb things, and a ridiculous amount of memes. Speaking of which, have some memes.

If you have a question, dumb idea, or request, feel free to hit me up on my wall. I check back daily, so you'll get an answer (and usually a deck) out of the deal!

Have a great day, catch you later!

Eh the meta changes every week, but Fish-Hulk is pretty common. Could go either way tbh.

Lol I'm aware. I may be stupid, but I'm not an idiot. Considering the built in resilience and the fact that Grand Abolisher comes out first, Silence is mostly unnecessary.

Whereas Angel's Grace can just kill players in the event that beat a t3-t4 average. I personally think the change is obvious.

Definitely good enough of a reason to try it out considering Fish-Hulk's lame yet effective plan.

It doesnt need it. Being both a creature and a land, it can be slotted into the infinite etb combo. And with Lotus Cobra, it makes infinite mana on entry, rather than on tap. Some neat tech not a lot of people know about.

GhostChieftain

I've been noticing that a lot recently. Its honestly probably just straight up better than Silence these days. Thoughts on that?

A solid point. I run a few more because Idyllic Tutor is slow, and theres pretty much no other solid tutors that find artifacts and enchants. Ill prob end up running Idyllic over Caregiver though.

I think the biggest issue between us is that our builds do two VERY different things and two VERY different speeds. It would be hard for either of us to give any amount of help on each others deck because they're completely different. It kinda sucks, but it's meh. Thats the problem with a commander as versatile as Saffi Eriksdotter.

Definitely thanks for the help i got so far though.

Interesting...

Mindcensor and Teeg are mostly in as midcombo protectors, but i could definitely see a cut if a better option were presented. Linvala is similar, but she at least has utility outside the combo. So I'm a bit medium on her.

I mostly have the Devoted Vizier combo in as a backup kickstarter. Redundancy and all that. Slapping a quick hulk down with a sac outlet and such. I could "possibly"see it for the reasons above, but it seems to perform well enough so i can't justify at the current moment if at any point they start to underperform though, definitely.

I originally had Eldritch Evolution in, but cut it as it seemed to underperform. That maybe be different in the current version though.

And i can totally see the issue with Claws of Gix. Only problem with that is the lack of half decent sac outlets in my colors. Turns out a couple bad ones that are easy to play color wise or cost wise, I've found them playable. By all means though give me some Better ones to replace em. I'm like begging at this point, lol.

Anyways, here's what I'm thinking for testing.

Maindeck

-1x Gaddock Teeg

-1x Aven Mindcensor

+1x Caregiver

+1x Eldritch Evolution

Thoughts on that for testing?

Much as I'd like to, i can't for consistency's sake. They don't make colored mana for pump spells, so they make the fast kill too inconsistent to be worth a crap. Not a terrible idea though.

Solid ideas bud. Will do some testing tonight and see how i like em.

I did originally have Skullclamp in, but as the deck progressed, i found it wanting. Only being good half the time and never being so great i just HAD to have it. Ill do a retest, but im not so sure about that one

Yeah man. And it's nothing against infect of course. It's the optimal build of my preferred playstyle. I just prefer to play without a crutch.

Bud its Satyr Tribal. I'm lucky the deck is even good at all. It kills just as fast if not slightly faster. If you'd rather play Infect, by all means. If you'd like a comparison. It's basically infect that plays fair.

Contrary to what it may seem, Gallia did not make or break this deck. It kill fast and ruthless before she was even thought of. All Gallia does is plug the holes that the deck had before. Shes fantastic, shes powerful, shes my favorite card. But I cant justify running four due to consistency. It's just too risky. Now if this were a proven deck that absolutely had a shot to be great, maybe shed be worth the 4 of. But as it stands I cant bring myself to risk it

;egend rule. Having two of her is clunky and inconsistent, slowing down the deck
