Thanat0s141 I am thinking about it. I am doing some rigorous playtesting to determine if I want to go that route, but personally land destruction makes me feel sad inside. You have a point, though. If nothing else, perhaps they will burn out their removal on those spells instead :D

I love it. I might borrow a few ideas from ya. Akroma, Angel of Fury is just awesome. I wish I could get away with running Omniscience . Plea for Power is another one that I am interested in because either option is good. Awesome build!

K1ngMars thanks for the input! Banefire is there as a backup for Comet Storm . I aim to hit it off of Thousand-Year Storm . Like cast some small spells, then turnabout, float all of your mama three times, and drop the gross x spell 4 or more times. It works as a backup strategy, but I am not opposed to cutting it! Glad my build gave you a few ideas! I really like yours as well.

Hear hear! I ran a few games with it last night and ran into mana problems, so I will have to adjust that accordingly. Madcookie Combustible Gearhulk is a great addition. I will try running that and Darksteel Colossus . Thanks for the advice! Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor Reality Shift and Mana Geyser deserve a try. Using Reiterate on the latter can be good fuel for an Xtra thicc Banefire or Comet Storm , which were actually the targets for Thousand-Year Storm . I've gotten the combo off successfully a few times and I can usually stall and pull off a lethal "x" in the late game. I think Mana Geyser has the potential to get that giant x spell off more consistently, so I will definitely try it out! Thank you all for the advice and suggestions. I am really enjoying building and playing this deck

SideBae I will consider cutting a couple lands. In this case I suppose I am not going for a big mana strategy since I can suspend the beefy spells. I will run Preordain as well. Just haven't gotten a copy for this deck. I really like your idea for wheeling. Unfortunately I dont have $200 lying around, but you bet I will take the cheap route to utilize Narset, Parter of Veils more. I mostly kept that card in there to stop a The Locust God deck that constantly causes trouble in my playgroup, but card advantage is much needed. I will toy around with Gamble and I am currently running Chain of Vapor Thank you for the suggestions! It helps a lot. Get that $$$ bud.

enpc I will have to get my hands on some of those. In time I'm going to save up for Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith . Those rings are expensive!

Gavvin it really depends. I've got some players that will burn removal out on things like Phyrexian Arena so I am sure Maralen will be a target. I will try running it just to see.

I am working on a Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief deck and I am trying to make it more competitive. It stands up pretty well currently, but it could be much better. I am just looking for advice on how to gas this deck up a bit. I am aware there are more powerful commanders in black, but I like Drana and I think it is good to save casting her until late game so you can punch through threats and deal sizeable (if not lethal) damage.
